Datierung: unklar, 90 v.Chr. bis 90 n.Chr. angesetzt. Paranvitana setzt um 210 - 200 v. Ch. an und sieht hier eine der frühesten Inschriften in Ceylon, die definitiv einem Herrscher zugeordnet werden kann (Ed.: S.lii ff., "The record being fragmentary, it is not certain whether the king himself, or some person connected to him, was the donor"; Ed. : S. xlvi). Typographisch ist die Schrift viel jünger.
